Understanding the PTE Academic syllabus is the first step to effective preparation. The test is divided into three main sections—Speaking & Writing, Reading, and Listening—each designed to assess a range of real-world English language skills needed for study, work, and migration abroad

1. Speaking & Writing (54–67 minutes)

This section evaluates your ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both spoken and written English. It is the longest part of the exam and includes the following tasks:
